Indonesian weddings don’t hold back. They’re full of rich traditions, grand gestures, and moments that tug at your soul. Last month, I had the chance to document one for the very first time—a deeply personal one at that.
It was the sacred union of my nephew, Ivan, and his beloved, Gesti, held in Jakarta. The atmosphere was modest yet full of meaning. From the ceremonial rituals to the quiet glances between the couple, everything felt soaked in love and sincerity. At one point, I found myself holding back tears—camera in hand, heart full.
This was my first wedding photography experience, and it taught me that sometimes the most powerful images come from moments you almost miss. Alhamdulillah, I managed to stay focused and capture the emotions as they unfolded.
Here are a few selected wedding photographs from that beautiful day—frames that tell a story of two souls becoming one, under faith, family, and tradition.
