A Session with Indonesian Publishers

On May 21, 2025, I had the pleasure of meeting Editor-in-Chiefs from various media and publication houses in Indonesia to share more about Pinterest.

Over a relaxed lunch hosted by The Bespoke Fashion (TBF) Consultant, Melinda Babyana, we discussed how Pinterest isn’t just a mood board. It’s a powerful visual search and discovery engine that can help media reach a wider audience.

We also introduced our sales partner, MediaDonuts by Aleph, represented by the wonderful Tari Pradiani & Adi Sukma Waldi, during this warm and engaging discussion.

Here are a few highlights from our conversation:

🌐 With over 570 million monthly users globally, Pinterest remains a safe and positive space online

🛠️ Creating content is highly flexible, from repurposing Instagram posts to auto-publishing via RSS feeds

📌 Pins have a long shelf life, keeping your content visible and driving value well beyond the initial post

📈 Tools like collages and promoted content help media companies explore creative formats and boost both reach and monetization

This roadshow was such a great reminder for me. Seeing firsthand how much potential Pinterest has for local publishers and media companies in Indonesia. It felt inspiring to chat with them, hear their stories, and realize how much opportunity there is to grow together.

For me, this is more than just a job; it’s a passion. It’s a passion to help grow a more positive, inspiring content ecosystem where local voices can thrive and meaningful stories can reach the right audiences. Moments like this remind me why I do what I do.
