A photographic journal from Mayflower Secondary School’s 45th anniversary musical celebration.
Musical Signal Reconnect was more than
a school production. Held on April 28, 2026, at the Drama Centre, National Library Singapore, it became a reflection of the times we are living in today.
It told a story about loneliness, digital dependency, and the fragile thread of human connection.
What impressed me most was not only the scale of the production but the sincerity behind it. The synergy between the Chinese orchestra, choir, dancers, musicians, and actors felt deeply intentional. Every movement and every note carried emotion.
For nearly two hours, students reminded the audience about something adults often forget: technology may connect devices, but only people can reconnect hearts.
This journal captures fragments of that evening. Photographed using the Sony A7C II with the Sigma 24–70mm lens, I attempt to preserve a performance that felt both memorable and deeply human.
