FYP With Monica Hynds: Building Careers In Singapore

Hustling and grinding in Singapore can sometimes feel like a solo marathon, so having a supportive network makes all the difference.

Luckily, I crossed paths with Monica Hynds, who has been passionately sharing her insightful career journey on Instagram and TikTok. And this year, she is leveling up by having an offline session she calls FYP: For Your Passion.

The event was an exclusive, intimate gathering, personally curated by Monica. Held on Saturday afternoon, January 18, 2025, at Madame Ooze, a charming dessert café in Chinatown, Singapore.

Attending this gathering was a game-changer for me. Her advice on navigating life as an Indonesian in Singapore was filled with actionable tips and tricks, all of which were incredibly insightful.

One powerful takeaway? Career is a long-play game. It’s about strategy, perseverance, and using your network, especially within the Indonesian community here in Singapore, to uncover opportunities.

I left the session feeling completely recharged. 2025 is just kicking off, and it’s never too late to revisit my vision board and start taking action. I’m ready to make things happen, how about you?
