What a surprise it was to run into an old friend in such an unexpected place and time! I bumped into Ernest Prakasa on my flight to Jakarta this morning.
I can barely remember the last time we spoke—it feels like forever. We used to work together at Sony Music around 2002, then crossed paths again at an office in Kemang around 2009. After that, we lost touch. I moved abroad, and he evolved into an actor, stand-up comedian, and one of Indonesia’s top film producers.
I still can’t believe he shouted my full name so loudly. It feels amazing to reconnect after all these years!
