With over 10 years experience, he is among the previlege few professionals who have managed and demonstrated true integrated digital marketing thinking. With SONY MUSIC Indonesia, he succeeded in bringing many great talents such as Sheila On 7, Anggun, Tata Young, and L’Arc~en~Ciel to the Indonesian market via online medium. He was awarded “Employee of the Year” in 2006, in persisting of using online media to promote music artists and contributing a number of sales.
His keen interest concerning online media has made him as Internet Promotion Specialist in well-known international media agency, Starcom, from April 2008. The agency itself works with reputable brands such as Mead Johnson, Samsung, and P&G. He also has experience in handling online promo of LiLO (the online game), m-iklan.com (self service mobile advertising), and also the SMS Premium Business which owned by PT. Antar Mitra Prakasa (m-Stars) in the late 2008. In 2009, he pursued another challenge in Media Nusantara Citra, a holding media group for RCTI, TPI, Global TV, Trijaya, etc in Indonesia, as Creative Manager in Value Added Services division. His role is creating new SMS/mobile products using owned content & delivers them to the market.
Nokia sees him as a great talent and invite him to join as Music Editor in 2010 and get promoted in 2011 to Entertainment Manager. His role mainly is to maintain the online music store, Nokia Music, as well to do the consumer engagement to using the service and partnership with the music industry.
Widi Asmoro graduated from Gunadarma University majoring Informatics System in 2004, and took his master degree in London School of Public Relation majoring Marketing Communications. He holds certificate from Cambridge International Diploma in Management, Microsoft Access & Netware.
