Had an incredible time at the Local Media Summit in Jakarta today, discussing the opportunities Indonesian local media can unlock using Pinterest!
During a panel hosted by the wonderful Mbak Catur Ratna Wulandari from Digital Mama ID, I had the chance to explain why Pinterest matters for publishers. With over 522 million monthly active users globally, people come to Pinterest with a clear intent to find inspiration, not just to mindlessly scroll. It’s the ideal platform for media outlets producing high-quality content and looking to build deeper engagement with their audiences.
In the same panel, Pinterest’s partner, Tastemade Indonesia, represented by Pak Roby Bagindo, shared their experience. He explained how their evergreen content is rediscovered on Pinterest, giving it a longer lifespan. This allows their team to focus on creating the next batch of amazing content.
This year’s summit, held at The Sultan Hotel from October 2-3, brought together over 150 local media outlets across Indonesia.
I’m thrilled to have participated in it and hope the insights shared today help local publishers grow their reach and impact!
