The Heart I Left Behind In Madinah

Have you ever felt like you’re in a city that’s just waiting to hear your stories? That’s exactly how I felt when I arrived in Madinah.

Madinah, known as the “City of the Prophet,” is where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) established the first Muslim community after migrating from Makkah. I stayed at The Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah, which is just a short walk away from the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid al-Nabawi). I knew I had to make the most of this blessing, so I visited the masjid for every prayer call. I explored every corner, took quiet moments to reflect, and poured my heart out in sujood.

During my stay, I also had the chance to visit several sacred historical sites like The Rawdah, Al-Baqi Cemetery, Masjid Quba, and Mount Uhud. I attended inspiring sermons and met with a few ustadz (religious teachers) to seek their wisdom.

Madinah has helped me rediscover my purpose and deepen my spiritual connection. It’s a place that has left an everlasting mark on my heart, and I truly hope to revisit it someday, inshaAllah.
