Three Indonesian Singapore Business Experts Spill the Tea on Going Global

I’ve always dreamed of turning my late-night snack cravings into a business. If people can sell bottled air, surely there’s hope for my midnight munchies idea. So yesterday, I joined a talk show featuring three inspiring Indonesian Singapore business experts with Indonesian roots in Singapore, and here’s what I learned.

  • Oniatta, the force behind Baju by Oniatta, stressed the power of staying true to yourself and always being ready to hype your brand.
  • Ircahn, the genius behind Irvin’s Chips, shared how tapping into networks and communities can take a business to the next level.
  • Monica Hyndss from Laverate reminded us that a strong unique selling point makes a brand stand out. Because let’s be real, nobody remembers the “just another” brand.

The event wrapped up with a speech from His Excellency, the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Bapak Suryo Pratomo. He shared his optimism about the many opportunities waiting to be explored, especially in Singapore.

Big shoutout to IPA Singapore and Gailbook for organizing this insightful event. Gailbook, founded by two young Indonesians, Eve and Nadia, is on a mission to bring Indonesian fashion brands to the world, starting right here in Singapore.

Now that’s a business worth bookmarking!
